Our coaches have been running and training at some of the highest levels of the sport for nearly 17 years.  

In addition to years of studying how exercise physiology applies to running in the traditional classroom setting, all of our coaches have had the opportunity to train with, and directly under, some of the best coaches and runners in the world.

Instead of blindly applying a coach’s method from books and other pieces of information, we’ve learned directly from the best.

Individualized Training Schedule

The training plan you get from RunnersConnect is hand crafted and meticulously created specifically for you.

We start with an initial consultation, during which your coach will learn as much about your running background, goals, and time commitments as possible.

After the initial consultation, your coach will start writing your training program.

Typically, we will create a long term plan in “pencil” with the goals you hope to accomplish and the road-map for how to get you there.

After outlining the long-term plan, your coach will send you the first three or four weeks of training in detail, which includes daily mileage, paces, ancillary training and everything you need to know. 

Communcation & Adjustments Your Way

Once you have your workouts, our custom training platform gives us deep insight into your workouts and training data.

This allos us to give you feedback directly to your workouts once you’re finished and easy for us to make adjustments to your training based on the latest data.

Plus, you can ask questions anytime via text, email and phone.

However you choose, you will get regular and ongoing communication with your coach. This will help develop a strong coach-athlete relationship and give you access to unique knowledge and insights.

Long-Term Planning

Perhaps the most difficult part of writing your own training plan is keeping your long-term goals in mind when you map out each workout. When you’ve got a tight schedule, it’s difficult to see the forest in the trees. With an unparalleled combination of scientific knowledge and personal experience, we can ensure that each run or workout is one step closer towards your goal.

Coaching isn’t a part-time gig or a side project. It’s our passion and it’s our job. This allows us to answer your questions immediately, often times within minutes. This means we can make adjustments to your schedule whenever you need them. Work, family, weather, and your social life – they can all be factors that cause you to have to adjust the optimal schedule. The ability to keep you on track and progressing towards your goals is a critical step for your success.
