Corrinne Mills ran the F3 5K and finished this distance in the time of 27:22.
Not quite what I hoped for but faster than last year! 3/20 F45-59. Felt pretty strong, just lacking a bit of energy somehow? Conditions were OK: the lakefront path was clear, temp in the high teens, not too windy though some headwind in the final mile. Given the patchy training of the last couple months, I’m reasonably happy with the outcome. Of the 6 (!) times I’ve run this race, starting in 2019, this was the third-fastest.
Patty Moore ran the Surf City Marathon and finished with a time of 4:45:41.
Great race! Finished with no pain and I am so grateful! Pacing was a mess the whole time. Watch kept showing the average pace instead of current pace so I never really knew where it was. lol
Very happy with this race 🙂
Christina Kach ran the Dumbo 10k & Half (10k) and finished this race in the time of 55:47.
What made the race special was the course and the fun. This may be the least tangent friendly course on the planet – but gosh darn it, it may be the most fun. We stopped for 4 out of 7 possible photos. Got lots of compliments on our outfits. Ideal running weather.
Missed my goal by close to 2 minutes. My Garmin said I had about 70 seconds of idle time (which would have been the photos) but 54:37 would have still only been my second fastest 10K if I’d run straight through. Of course, bummed that a double pr weekend that I’d wanted for 3 years was gone on day 1.
Christina Kach ran the Dumbo 10k & Half Marathon with a finishing time of 1:57:52. This was a personal record by 95 seconds!
AH. HUGE PR. HUGE. I didn’t let yesterday’s disappointment cloud me – I saw today as a new day, new attempt. I’m still a little in shock 4 days later. I was REAL shocked at the finish. Gobsmacked to see 57 when I was hoping for a squeak into 58. A good chunk of the fitness for this was carry over from wine glass with the interruption in training back in Nov/Dec. I have to thank the weather – which was ideal for the 3rd year in a row.
