Tony Malinauskas ran the Spartan Super 10k and finished with a time of 1:43:23.
Usually there are only a handful of competitors in my age division; this race had 19! I can usually podium by beating just a couple guys, but this was a good test with a larger field. I finished 6th; better-than-average is OK by me.
Joe Allen ran the Betty Zane 5K and finished this distance in the time of 25:00.
A rolling course through the nice little town of Martins Ferry, OH. A lot of folks were fading after the 1st mile as the humidity was building for an intense thunderstorm. While this was my slowest 5K of the year, I actually did pretty well passing a lot of much younger runners in second half. It always feels good to hit that finish line but it was particularly welcomed today as the heat and humidity really took a toll on all of us.
