Whole Wheat Spaghetti with Ground Turkey ,Tomato Sauce
package ground turkey
large can crushed tomatoes
large package frozen mixed peppers
large package frozen spinach
garlic to taste
couple of pinches of salt
Parmesan cheese added to the sauce
package whole wheat angel hair pasta
dried red pepper flakes
Slowly brown the ground turkey – if you do it slowly, you won’t need to add oil at all.
Season with garlic, oregano, basil and dried red pepper. Now add more!
Add frozen vegetables.
Cover and simmer slowly until veggies are thawed.
Add crushed tomatoes and stir well
Add water leaving sauce on simmer until sauce reduces to your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings.
Follow directions for pasta. Drain without rinsing
Serve with salad
