Team RunnersConnect continues the hot streak with 4PRs and some season bests.

Brian St. George raced a 5K in Minnesota coming cross the finish line first with a time of 17:03 which not gave him a PR but overall win for this race.

BStI finished with a 5:11 3rd mile (didn’t think that was possible) and won the race with a new PR and course record (only 3rd annual) of 17:03. I was shocked when I looked at my finish time. Knowing how slow the first 2 miles were, I wasn’t paying attention to my overall time as I reached the finish. I looked at my watch several times, but focused only on my current pace.  After the week I had with abnormal fatigue and race committee duties, I am very pleased with my performance.

Brenda Steedman ran the Sydney Trail Series 10K in Manly Dam finishing in the time of 1:06:30 which was a 3 minute PR.

BrendaTrail runs are always hard work ( I started to wonder why I was running at one stage) but it’s feels like such a great achievement once you finish, especially one with as many hills as this one! I was very happy to find my hill sprint training helped me to a 3 minute PR. Thanks coaches!

Jonna English ran the Bull Moon Ride and Run 5K in Durham, NC coming across the finish line in the time of 37:58 which was a PR by 1 minute per mile.

JonnaEThis was my first official 5k since I started training and I had my best personal record average pace of 12:31! There were lots of hills so this was very challenging for me and especially with my heart and lung conditions, but I was SO PROUD of myself for doing this and hope with the flat course at the Rock n Roll Half in August I will be able to finish! Feeling ACCOMPLISHED!

Scott Hammontree ran the Gopher Gold 5K in Detroit, MI finishing with the time of 23:45.

ScottHamMy first race in a month due to injury. Have not been able to train so was just a chance to train & test my condition! Now, to start building again!

Chin Chin Tan ran the Chung Ling Cross Country 9KM in Penang, Malaysia coming across the finish line in the time of 46:20.

I finished strong, overtaking four women in category in the last 1km.

Patrick Douglass ran the Boilermaker 15k in Utica, NY finishing this distance with a time of 1:17:21 which was a PR of 3 minutes and 51 seconds.

PatrickDThis was THE race I have been chasing since 2009 to have a PR in, finally I have accomplished it. This was also the final race for this year in which I had planned on setting a PR. It has been a outstanding year with PRs in all races I have run. Looking forward to running my first half this fall as well as a Ragnar relay.

Dean Morley ran a 10K in Elmbridge, Surrey, UK in finishing this distance in the time of 39:58.

dean-morleyNice run route along the Thames towpath. Not quite a PB (30 secs), but 1 min quicker than last week’s 10k race – so happy with that.

Brian Schmidt raced in the USATF Masters Outdoor Track Championships in Winston-Salem, NC running the 1500 & 5,000 with finishing times of 4:27.49 & 16:33.87.

BrianFastest times I’ve run this season and I finished 6th in the 1500m and 2nd in the 5,000 for my age group (45-49). First time I’ve earned a medal in the masters outdoor championships. I was just a few seconds off lifetime PRs in both events.
