Big Results follow Team RunnersConnect

Greg Doherty ran the Hilton Head Half marathon with his friend and RunnersConnect teammate Keith Hughes. The day was cold and rainy but that dampen their spirits to run strong to PR with a finishing time of 1:52:33. This was a 9 minute PR for Greg.

gregThese training plans are awesome! I have set PRs in both my races this season thanks to Runners Connect! A 41 minute PR in the Rock N ROll Savannah in November and then again yesterday.

Keith Hughes as mention above ran the Hilton Head Island Half Marathon with friend and RunnersConnect Teammate Greg Doherty. Keith Hughes was able to run strong and not have any calf issues that had been nagging him in training. His finishing time of was 1:57:05 was a 2+ minute personal best time.

This run was better than my previous HM best by a couple of minutes, so at least I’m moving in the right direction!!

Sean Ragan ran his first 10K in amazing time of 43:09. Not only did he run a great time but he placed 4th overall and 1st in his Age Group.

seanIt was icy and below zero deg f. But I loved it, and couldn’t wipe the smile off my face all day.

 

John Pereira ran a half marathon in slippery and light snow conditions. John has been dealing with an adductor injury, but has been very patient in his comeback and the patience paid off this weekend in his first tune-up race since Chicago. He stuck to his race plan and was able to run a stellar time of 1:26:38 finishing 3rd overall.

johnI’m happy with the result and hope to keep moving forward and getting ready for Boston!

 

Michelle Genin ran the Heavenly Half Marathon in Auberry, CA which started up at 4200 ft which descend over some rolling hills and than downhill to finish. Great weather and nutrition helped her fly on this race course. She ran her second fastest half marathon time of 1:42:29.

michelleI was surprised at how fast I was able to go in some of the miles. I was faster, or at my 5k pace for a few of the miles.

 

Eduard de Vries ran the hilly Great Mid Winter Classic 10 mile run meeting his goal of going under 1:30. He ran it in 1:29:22. As a bonus of running this race and meeting his goal time, Eduard meet some running buddies that he has since begun running with.

eduardReady for good training quarter, next one is Maine Coast Marathon in May.

 

Brandon Ashton had a lot of fun at his first official race which was a 4 miler. He placed 7th place in his age group and 91st out of 600+ runners with a finishing time of 33:03.

I’m glad I got over the hump of having my first race before my half-marathon that I hope to run on Sunday
